## What PewPad does

- **Sermon Library** — every sermon as a structured object with title, date preached, status (draft / delivered / archived), tags, Bible references, series, church, delivery records, transcript, ministry artifacts.
- **Rich Sermon Editor** — purpose-built editor for sermon notes (not a generic word processor). Inline Bible references, commentary chips, word study, tables, headings, lists, PDF export.
- **Offline Bible Library** — bundled SQLite Bibles for KJV, WEB, BSB. Offline reading, full-text search (FTS5), passage lookup, translation comparison, Scripture panel beside notes.
- **Study Resources** — public-domain commentary browser, cross-reference data, topical Scripture index, original-language word study (Greek/Hebrew lexicon), personal notes.
- **Delivery Mode** — pulpit-ready split-screen: large sermon notes on one side, active Scripture on the other. Countdown timer, planned-duration cues, dark mode, adjustable font scale, exit confirmation.
- **Voice Reference Activation** — Apple on-device speech recognition. Phrases like "turn to John 3:16," "let's look at Romans 8," "read with me from Ephesians 2" open the passage hands-free during preaching.
- **Transcript Capture** — local as-spoken transcript with timestamped segments, low-confidence warnings, text and Markdown export. Audio is never streamed off-device.

- **Ministry Kit** — turns one sermon into listener handouts, small-group discussion guides, and recap emails. Generation runs on device via Apple Foundation Models, shaped by the pastor's voice profile.
- **Sermon Import** — extract text from existing PDF, DOCX, and image manuscripts. AI-assisted title, main point, tag, and Bible reference detection.
- **Export** — PDF, Markdown, RTF for sermons; text and Markdown for transcripts; Markdown and PDF for Ministry Kit artifacts.

## Privacy posture (load-bearing for positioning)

- Sermon notes, voice profile data, transcripts, and AI-assisted suggestions are processed and stored on the user's device.
- iCloud sync, when enabled, uses the user's private CloudKit container — PewPad has no visibility into it.
- Speech recognition runs on-device (Apple SpeechAnalyzer / SpeechTranscriber). Audio is never transmitted to PewPad servers.
- No analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no cross-context behavioural advertising. PewPad does not sell or share user data.
- No required account; core features work offline.
