Preaching Insights & Sermon Analytics

See patterns across your preparation, delivery, and Scripture coverage — privately, on device.

Pastors keep meticulous calendars and almost no records of how preaching is actually going. PewPad's Insights gives you a quiet, on-device view of your ministry's rhythm — without dashboards built for SaaS funnels and without sending a single sermon to the cloud.

Preparation, delivery, and Scripture in one place

Insights groups your preaching life into four practical views: Overview (sermons over time, status breakdown, total preaching time), Preparation (tag patterns, average sermon words, prep cadence), Delivery (planned vs. actual duration, recent deliveries, transcript availability), and Scripture (reference counts, coverage heatmap, untouched books).

Series and church context

Every chart respects the relational structure of your archive. Filter by series to see how a five-week arc actually played out. Filter by church to see your itinerant ministry separate from your home pulpit. Insights is one of the only places a teaching pastor can see, in seconds, how the Romans series ran long every week and how Acts is going under-covered.

Numbers worth tracking

PewPad does not gamify preaching. There is no streak, no "sermons this month" leaderboard, no congregational engagement score. The metrics surfaced are the ones a pastor would actually ask about: how long am I preaching, what am I covering, what books haven't I touched in a year, and how does my preparation cadence look across the calendar.

  • Sermons over time
  • Draft / delivered / archived breakdown
  • Average sermon words and total preaching time
  • Recent deliveries with timing
  • Planned vs. actual duration charts
  • Scripture reference counts
  • Scripture coverage heatmap
  • Untouched books and rarely-preached passages
  • Tag and preparation pattern surfacing

Private by design

Insights are computed locally from your SwiftData store. Nothing is sent to a PewPad server, no "benchmark against other pastors" is offered, and no per-feature analytics SDK is embedded in the app. The numbers are for you and your study — no one else sees them.

Frequently asked

About insights.

What does Insights show?

An on-device dashboard of your preaching: sermons over time, draft/delivered/archived counts, preparation patterns, planned vs. actual delivery duration, recent deliveries, Scripture reference counts, a coverage heatmap, and books you have not preached recently.

Can I filter Insights by series or church?

Yes. Charts respect series and church context, so itinerant pastors and teaching pastors can see ministry rhythm across multiple congregations or sermon arcs.

Does PewPad send my Insights data anywhere?

No. Insights are computed from your local SwiftData store. There is no analytics SDK in the app, no benchmarking against other pastors, and no upload of usage or preaching data.

Will Insights tell me if I'm preaching too long?

Insights surfaces planned vs. actual duration so you can see the pattern yourself. PewPad does not grade or score the ministry; the numbers are for your reflection.
